Ever wanted to be a part of the movie making business? For as little as 7 euro (or, more accurately, 10 dollars), you can help a short Irish science fiction movie become reality!
Mute is a story in which Sci-fi meets romance. We meet Albert, a young man who suffers from Hyperacusis, meaning that he has an oversensitivity to sound. He is also a scientific genius, and he uses his smarts to invent a device that allows him to create a silent sanctuary within his apartment. The story also explores his relationship with his neighbour Sylvia, his musician neighbour whom he loves from a distance, his crippling shyness never allowing him to express his feelings to her. But following a series of unforeseen events, Albert's device has a major impact on the world as we know it and he must find a way to deal with it in order to save both the planet and his love.
