The Survivalist has won itself a good amount of buzz on the run-up to its BAFTA nomination and, judging by this first trailer, it's easy to see why.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world where society has broken down and starvation is everywhere, Martin McCann's character lives alone in the forest where's his solitude is interrupted by an elderly woman and her teenage daughter. The trailer doesn't give much away in terms of plot, but we do know that it's going to be intense - seriously intense.
As we mentioned, director Stephen Fingleton's film has already been nominated in the BAFTAs for Outstanding Debut and could very will snatch the prize on February 14th.
The Survivalist hits Irish cinemas on February 12th.
