At 71 years of age, while Harrison Ford may have become a fully fledge silver fox, with a fair few character-giving laughter lines around his rather handsome face, he's showing zero signs of slowing down; thank God for that. With a reprised role in Star Wars on the way, some more testosterone-fuelled action in the forthcoming Expendables 3 (not to mention the flexing of his comedy muscles in Anchorman 2) and now rumours of a fifth Indiana Jones in the pipeline, we won't be seeing Ford play the old fogey archetype anytime soon.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Harrison quickly quashed the notion that he'd be deemed too old to reprise his role as Indy, sure isn't it more realistic that the character would have aged as Harrison has? Doesn't mean he's any less of a bad-ass.
"We've seen the character develop and grow over a period of time... and it's perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn't necessarily have to kick as much ass... To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do."
Damn straight, Harrison!
Nothing is yet confirmed but if Ford's enthusiasm above is anything to go by, he's certainly up for it.
