In case you didn't already know about it, Vanity Fair's 'Notes on a Screen' is a really interesting series that delves into a different aspect of Hollywood movies every month. Their latest video shows off how stuntwoman Alicia Vela-Bailey really does all of her stunts.
Vela-Bailey says that she "literally fell into" doing stunts, which sounds way too easy (and a bit cheesy). But after a failed casting audition, she was convinced to get into doing stunts, and she says that the work "just snowballed from there".
In the video, she goes through some top action scenes that she's done in detail, giving us a breakdown of what she did, and how she did them. She's even filmed a fight scene with our own Colin Farrell in that questionable 'Total Recall' remake a few years ago.
Since starting stunt work in 2006, Vela-Bailey's back catalogue is quite impressive - she has so many movies and TV series under her belt, it's hard to keep track. If you head over to her IMDB page you'll get the full breakdown, but she's done everything from being the stunt double to Gal Gadot on Wonder Woman, Kate Beckinsale on Underworld Awakening, to Charlize Theron in Brandon Flower's music video 'Crossfire'.
Vela-Bailey is currently doing stuntwork on the new 'Avatar' films.
