The follow-up title to 'The Hitman's Bodyguard' is here, and the title of its sequel is very difficult to say.
The 'Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard' trailer in all of its blazing glory, showing off the return of Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek as they embark on another high-speed yet dark humoured action-adventure.
But the trio won't be the only big names attached to the sequel to 'The Hitman's Bodyguard', as Antonio Banderas, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Tom Hopper, and Richard E. Grant have all been added to the line-up. Grant is expected to be reprising his role from the 2017 movie, while Freeman's character remains under wraps.
This time around, Reynolds' character Michael Bryce hasn't been deployed to protect Samuel L. Jackson's Darius Kincaid, but instead, he'll be attempting to protect his wife, Salma Hayek's Sonia. However, Bryce has pledged to his therapist to never "bodyguard" again, so let's see how this one turns out for him.
Here's the official synopsis for the movie:
The world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) – are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as… well, you’ll have to see.
'Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard' is slated for a June 16 release date.
