Ever since Disney announced that they were making a live-action version of hit animation 'Mulan', anticipation has been pretty high.
Now, the studio has revealed the first look at Chinese-American actress Liu Yifei aka Crystal Liu, who is taking on the lead role in the film.
The 30-year-old Liu, who also released albums as a teenager, will play the heroic girl who pretends to be a man in order to take her father's place in the Chinese army. She was cast last November but the film is not set for release until March 2020.
However, other actors who have been cast include Jet Li as the Emperor of China, Gong Li as the villainous witch and Jason Scott-Lee as a warrior hell-bent on revenge.
We may have a while to wait for it, but the first image of Liu bodes well for the film, at least...
