John Krasinski is awesome; we all know he's awesome and some of want to be him while others merely on or under him. What you might not have realised is that he also made his directorial debut in 2009 with a low budget indie called Brief Interviews With Hideous Men.
While we haven't heard of that, we'll more than likely hear about his next film as helmer, The Hollars, which will also feature (as well as Krasinski) Oscar winner Anna Kendrick, (the always awesome) Richard Jenkins and Emmy winner Margo Martindale.
In a script that he describes as "one of the best i've ever read, period" Krasinski will play a comfortable Manhattan type who must return home to the American Mid West (not much going on there, apparently) to deal with his family when his Ma needs brain surgery.
Sounds very Cameron Crowe, and, funnily enough, we'll next see that Krasinski fella (who's half Irish btw) in a Crowe flick, opposite Rachel McAdams and Emma Stone. Jaysus we're jealous. It doesn't have a title yet anyway, but we still wanna see it.
Anyway, here he is giving someone $1.5 million. Sure, it's not his money, but it seems like something he'd do.
