By now, you've probably watched that gritty Power Rangers short film that everyone's been talking about.
Naturally, the film sparked huge interest in Power Rangers again and was pretty much loved by everyone. Or so we thought.
Saban, the company behind Power Rangers, immediately ordered the video to be taken down from YouTube and Vimeo, citing copyright infringement by the makers.
Adi Shankar and Joseph Kahn, the producer and director respectively, have said they're not done yet and will mount a legal challenge against Saban.
The creators behind the video are citing fair use policies, as the short film was intended to be as an homage of the popular TV series.
Kahn and Shankar have said that the film was made solely as an experiment and not intended to make a profit or to be a launching pad.
Shankar previously produced a short about Marvel superhero The Punisher, entitled Dirty Laundry, which also received huge fan response online.
However, unlike Saban, Marvel had no issue with the short whatsoever.
It's understood that Saban have an official reboot of Power Rangers in the works with Lionsgate, one that's probably more family-friendly than what we saw earlier in the week.
The video is still online on Facebook, despite it being removed from YouTube and Vimeo.
Here it is again, in case you haven't seen it. Just click the image below to watch.
