Promoting her latest film 'Captain Marvel', we sat down with one of its stars, Gemma Chan.
Gemma Chan has been having a phenomenal year. She is now a part of the MCU and starred in the box office hit 'Crazy Rich Asians'.
We asked what has been the highlight of the last twelve months for her.
She said: "Probably just the reaction from the public. I've never been part of, with regards to 'Crazy Rich Asians', a film that people have had such a response [to], it's meant so much to them. And it just goes to show how there's been such a dearth in representation and how they really needed this film.
"Even just with my own family, their reactions to the film, and how I felt watching it - that's been amazing. It doesn't happen with every project that you're in but it's really special when you are part of something that in some way feels like it's shifting conversation or starting a conversation."
She continued: "Hopefully it will be the same with this film. I'm really excited that it's the first - slightly overdue! - but really excited that the first female-led Marvel movie is happening and that I get to be a part of it."
You can also watch our interviews with Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson for 'Captain Marvel'. We also interviewed star Lashanna Lynch and directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.
'Captain Marvel' hits cinemas on 8 March.
