A teaser trailer has dropped for ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ (There doesn’t seem to be anyone aroooound) starring Peter Dinklage, best-known for playing Tyrion Lannister in 'Game of Thrones'.
The science fiction drama is written by Mike Makowsky and directed by Reed Morano, who won an Emmy for helming ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and is currently shooting ‘The Rhythm Section’, starring Blake Lively and which was partly shot in Dublin.
‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ also stars Elle Fanning, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Paul Giamatti. It played earlier this year at Sundance, where it won the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Excellence in Filmmaking award.
The official synopsis for the film reads:
“Del (Peter Dinklage) is alone in the world. After the human race is wiped out, he lives in his small, empty town, content in his solitude and the utopia he’s methodically created for himself – until he is discovered by Grace (Elle Fanning), an interloper whose history and motives are obscure. Worse yet, she wants to stay. A visceral psychological journey, the film explores human behaviour and the undeniable need for companionship.”
The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on September 14th before the nationwide September 21st release. No Irish release date has been confirmed just yet.
