One of our all-time favourite comedies is Galaxy Quest.
If you've never watched it, stop what you're doing right now and go seek it out because it's absolutely fantastic.
Are you back? Good. Galaxy Quest is getting a TV spinoff.
The original film's writer and director, Robert Gordon and Dean Parisot, are expected to return to their duties. However, it's not yet known if Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Sam Rockwell or Alan Rickman are expected to reprise their roles.
Paramount, the studio behind Galaxy Quest, are currently looking various movies in their library to turn into TV series, with Richard Linklater's School of Rock and Antonie Fuqua's Shooter also being mooted as possibilities.
As we said, we're huge fans of the original Galaxy Quest and to see the original writing / directing team gives us hope.
Here's a little snifter of what we could be looking forward to.
