Wonder Woman and Poirot could be quite the combination.
Last year we saw Kenneth Branagh star as Belgian detective Hercule Poirot in an adaptation of the infamous Agatha Christie novel. How could we forget that ridiculous tache?
Branagh also directed the movie and while he did assemble a formidable cast such as Judi Dench, Johnny Depp and Willem Dafoe to play the colourful characters (find out which one you are), and make the picture look very pretty, it ultimately fell flat. Read our review here.
Branagh has begun working on the sequel ‘Death on the Nile’ and according to The Hollywood Reporter has reportedly lined Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, to star in it. The report states that Gadot is close to signing on the dotted line and will play socialite Linnet Doyle if they can get the deal over the line.
It’s a busy time for the Israeli actress as she looks set to play Hedy Lamarr in a new Showtime series. And let’s not forget her day job. Over the summer Gadot gave fans their first look of her in costume for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ which hits cinemas in November 2019.
