Thanksgiving has always been a boffo weekend for film releases and this one was no different, as Four Christmases scored a huge haul of $46.7 million since its bow on Wednesday. Other new openings Australia and Transporter 3 also did solid business, coining $20 million and $18.5 million respectively. The success of Four Christmases is being put down to good old fashioned star power and a funny trailer. Australia has an estimated budget of $120 million, so Fox will need it to show strong legs to make its dough back.
