Former Doctor Who Matt Smith has reportedly landed a role in the currently filming new Terminator film, Terminator: Genesis.
According to Deadline, it’s not just a new film but a new trilogy and Smith will have what they describe as a "major role."
Already in the cast are Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke (Sara Connor), Zero Dark Thirty and Lawless stand out Jason Clarke (John Connor) and Live Free or Die Hard’s Jai Courtney (Kyle Reese); while Arnold Schwarzenegger also returns. The film is being directed by Thor 2’s Alan Taylor and is described as a "reboot."

Smith will play a new character in a role that’s expected to grow over the three films.
He’ll next be seen starring for Ryan Gosling in his directorial debut, Lost River, opposite our own Saoirse Ronan.
