It may be summer (or whatever passes for it in Ireland) and we're in the midst of blockbuster season - but it's never too early to start looking forward to the glut of horror films that are released in autumn and winter.

One of them will be 'Nosferatu', the reimagining of the iconic horror/vampire legend directed by Robert Eggers ('The Witch', 'The Lighthouse'.)

The film will star Bill Skarsgard ('IT') as the titular Nosferatu, aka the vampiric Count Olok, who is obsessed with a young woman, played by Lily-Rose Depp. Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe and Aaron Taylor-Johnson will also feature.

The official tagline describes the film as 'a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake."

The first-look trailer for the film has just dropped - and it certainly looks suitably creepy and intense. It'll be released around Christmas in Ireland and certainly looks like it'll provide an alternative to the usual festive fare.
