It's all about blockbusters at the moment. But we're already getting trailers for films coming later in the year like 'Charlie's Angels' and now 'Midway'.
As you can guess from the title, the feature depicts The Battle of Midway of World War II. The naval battle took place over three days in June 1942, six months after Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.
According to the plot synopsis it's "told by the leaders and the sailors who fought it."
We can't be the only ones getting 'Dunkirk' vibes here.
Wes Tooke, best-known for 'Colony', wrote the screenplay and Roland Emmerich directed.
Emmerich previously helmed 'Independence Day' and its sequel, 'Independence Day: Resurgence'. Over the years he also directed 1997's 'Godzilla', 'The Day After Tomorrow', '2012' and 'White House Down'.
Safe to say, this is a guy that knows his sh** when it comes to CGI-heavy action so his take on a war epic should be an interesting one.
'Midway' boasts a killer cast as well between Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Etsushi Toyokawa, Tadanobu Asano, Luke Kleintank, Jun Kunimura, Darren Criss, Keean Johnson, Alexander Ludwig, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid and Woody Harrelson.
It hits cinemas 8 November 2019.
