A week after the announcement of his breakup from Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson is going to be falling in love all over again, but this time onscreen. The 'Saturday Night Live' host will have a leading role alongside 'The Flight Attendant' star Kaley Cuoco.

When we heard the news of the 'Kete' split last week, the last thing we expected was to hear that he'd be falling in love with Kaley Cuoco the next. We know, we know, it's for a film, but still.

As the name 'Meet Cute' suggests, the film will chart the relationship between Sheila and Gary, a couple who fall in love with each other at first sight after meeting presumably randomly (and probably cutely).

The catch? It sounds like they're meeting (cutely) incessantly — category is: time travel. Sheila has a time machine which she uses to revisit the past. According to Nylon, Cuoco's Sheila is love greedy, "When the perfect night is never quite enough".

In a day and age where dating apps have lead us to believe there's always another option, Sheila instead travels back in time to try mould Gary into the perfect partner.

Director Alex Lehmann has curated a story that comments on our dreams of the perfect partner and the imperfect reality of being human. Lehmann is pretty eager for audiences to "get swept away on this wild romantic ride".

Davidson has dated some of the most famous and talented women in Hollywood including Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, so we're looking forward to getting a front row seat to witness his charms, even if they're from a script written for him.
