Finally. Some concrete news on the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. No rumours about who'll play Ana or who'll play Grey - we think we've exhausted that speculation station enough by now - just some welcome facts. Universal Pictures have announced that production on the film is progressing with speed, with a release date possibly being scheduled for some time in summer 2014.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Adam Fogelson (Chairman at the studio), said: "I don't believe that [EL James] had any interest in going to a studio where rushing it into production was the vision... I don't believe that the second or third film would have benefited from that strategy... And I think that there are totally legitimate questions about what this book is as a movie. I will tell you that it is an absolute priority for us. It's conceivable that we could be ready to release it as early as next summer."
Kelly Marcel who penned the screenplay for Saving Mr Banks will adapt EL James novel for the big screen.
