Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are to star together in a political comedy helmed by Austin Powers and Meet the Fockers director, Jay Roach.
Two of the most popular comedic actors currently working today, the lads will play opposing presidential candidates. The film was put together on spec, meaning its inception came before any studio involvement, with Warner Bros. ultimately snapping up the rights to distribute it. Unsurprisingly, it will be made in late 2011 for a release coinciding with the 2012 American presidential campaign.
As funny as those two men are, nothing they could do would even begin to match the hilarity that would ensue if Sarah Palin got the Republican nomination. Could this be the Heat of comedies, though? I expect to see that line on the poster.
