Colin Farrell has been moving back towards the mainstream recently, having impressed hugely with roles in smaller productions. The actor is to star in the Fright Night remake, the comedy Horrible Bosses and David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis; and now looks like he'll be working with Eric Bana.

According to Deadline, via Empire, the two are very keen to work together and sparked on the script for Fallen Virtues. It's to be an independently funded production, about two mates, one of whom gets screwed over in some way and seeks retribution. That's all we know about it. A deal is apparently yet to be done, with Empire saying their people were "underwhelmed" with the deal on offer.

Working for less that his quota doesn't seem to be a problem for Farrell, and Bana strikes me as a chap who'd work for the content, not just the clams. I'd expect this to happen if both actors continue their interest.
