In news that would shock absolutely no-one, Fantastic Four has been pulled from its slated release date and, more than likely, taken out behind the woodshed and mercy-killed.
Fantastic Four 2 was scheduled for June 9, 2017, however since the film tanked so spectacularly at the box-office, that's definitely not happening now. It just barely made back its production budget, never mind the cost of promotion and advertising.
Despite this, however, Fox was bullish about Fantastic Four 2's chances for a sequel in the face of savage reviews and a steadily decreasing return on the film.
We're guessing the production executive who greenlit the sequel woke up from his / her three-month coma and realised his mistake.
