We're always a little nervous when our fave TV shows make the leap to the big screen but after seeing Ted we're sure that Family Guy is in safe hands. The show's creator Seth McFarlane told UCLA students that he already has an idea in mind for a potential big screen spinoff for the Griffins.
Entertainment Weekly reports that he's being cautious about bringing his baby to the big screen though. "We do know what the Family Guy movie will be," he explained. "The Simpsons Movie, I thought, was hilarious, but the one criticism I would have is that it's a story they probably could've done on TV. There could've been an episode that had that plotline. That's the challenge with animation. You pretty much can do any story you want, so what is the reason for the movie? We finally hit on the answer to that question, and it will be something that would be impossible to do on TV."
McFarlane is tight lipped on any further details but he's not keeping schtum about how excited he is to be hosting next year's Oscars. We're looking forward to those jokes and the endless awkward silences that are bound to follow.
