Not too long ago we reported the rumours that a Trainspotting sequel could well be in the works. But at that point we hadn't heard Ewan McGregor's thoughts on said sequel. And we couldn't very well invest our energy in a follow up movie without the actor who made the original what it was.
Now though, we've got word. 17 years since Trainspotting made waves, (quite the time lapse, you'll agree) McGregor says he's well 'up for it', if Danny Boyle's script rumours are to come to fruition.
As per The Playlist, despite the notion that all may not have been well between McGregor and the cast/director after the last movie - Boyle has apologised before that they didn't treat the young McGregor all too well - things have since been smoothed ove. Joining the original cast and director (by phone) for a special UK screening of Trainspotting earlier in the week, McGregor said: "It's funny... Irvine Welsh's novel, 'Porno,' is set ten years after 'Trainspotting,' but I wasn't ready to do it then, for lots of reasons. But now there's talk of it happening in a few years' time, and I'm totally up for it. I'd be so chuffed to be back on set with everybody and I think it would be an extraordinary experience."
Well there you have it, fans, with all parties on board it looks like a surefire goer.
