We're pretty excited about this one.
On April 8th, we'll be hosting a very special screening of the classic sci-fi Blade Runner at Sugar Club, Dublin on Leeson Street.
For you purists out there, we'll be showing the Final Cut, which director Ridley Scott personally oversaw using 4K Restoration. If you've never watched this version of it, you're in for a treat.
Indeed, if you've never watched Blade Runner before, you're really in for something special.
Set in a dystopian Los Angeles in the year 2019, human replicants - robots that look identical to humans - have been outlawed and hunted by a special police force known as Blade Runners. When a band of replicants land in the city and attempt to infiltrate the corporation which designed them, a retired Blade Runner (Harrison Ford) is brought back to hunt them down.
Often considered to be Ridley Scott's greatest film, Blade Runner has since gone on to define sci-fi films with its unique blend of drama, action, incredible visuals and mind-bending storytelling.
Joining us on the night will be Michael Pope, lead singer of Irish synthpop outfit Le Galaxie, to chat about the film's influence and impact through the years.
Doors will open at 7.30 and there'll be range of Blade Runner-themed cocktails and drink promos on the night and we'll even be blasting Vangelis' soundtrack beforehand.
