The latest deluge of loopy young actresses gives testament to the well accepted verse that child stars end up mental as bejaysus (fact; though usually verbalised in a more eloquent way perhaps). Just look at Amanda Bynes who has trashed her own face and body, and is acting crazier than a long-term homeless person sniffing spirits. Or for that matter, Lindsay Lohan. One great exception to this distressing trend is Emma Watson, who is so normal she doesn't in any way feed off the fanatical attention she receives. Speaking to Total Film, she recently confessed she considered quitting after her role as Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise came to an end.

Watson has always shied away from excessive media attention, taking a break after the franchise from movie making to pursue a degree at Brown University followed by Oxford. There you go kids, don't post a billion nonsensical, sad and degrading selfies online, go to school. Harry Potter's BFF did.

Speaking on the topic of potentially leaving films, she stated 'I basically took two years out and stepped as far away from it as I could - I mean, the Harry Potter films were still coming out - but I took time to really try and figure out who I was and what I wanted to do. I even considered not being an actress.'

Thankfully for all, she has continued and is currently starring in Bling Ring, a Sofia Coppola true life tale about Californian teens who robbed their celebrity idols' houses. Her role as one of the teens affirms her stance on fame and it's madness, as she continued to add 'What I couldn't really identify with was that I'm quite a private person and Nicki's [her character] an exhibitionist - she absolutely loves attention and wants to be seen.So she's really the opposite from me from that perspective.' Oh Emma, never leave us.
