In case you've been sleeping under a rock for the past few hours - The 76th Golden Globes took place last night.

The Golden Globes saw hosts Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh take to the stage for the first time as a double-act.

In their opening monologue, Sandra Oh dropped this corker of a zinger at white-washing that has been happening in Hollywood.

Speaking about 'Crazy Rich Asians,' Oh remarked, "It is the first studio film with an Asian-American lead since 'Ghost in the Shell' and 'Aloha.'"

Emma Stone, who played a half-Chinese and half-Hawaiian airforce pilot in the film, shouts 'I'm Sorry!' at Oh, which she acknowledges.

 

This isn't the first time that Emma Stone has apologised for her role in 'Aloha.' In 2015, when the film was released Stone said, "I’ve become the butt of many jokes.

"I’ve learned on a macro level about the insane history of whitewashing in Hollywood and how prevalent the problem truly is. It’s ignited a conversation that’s very important."

'Ghost in the Shell' previously received backlash in 2017, after Scarlett Johansson was cast in the lead role, which is based on a Japanese video game character.
