A pretty cool choice to be fair. Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke will join Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover, in the stand-alone Han Solo flick.
"StarWars.com is excited to announce that Clarke, known for her stirring portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in HBO's Game of Thrones, will join the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures," said a statement from the official website.
It's unclear if Clarke will take the female lead, but likely given her stature as an actor - she's inarguably a bigger name than the two male leads. Starring in a HBO smash series for years will do that for ya.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller who directed The 21 Jump Street movies and The Lego Movie will be calling the shots. Release is some time in 2018.
