With a tropical storm expected to bring plenty of sunshine and high temperatures to us this week, it seems Ireland has also become a hotspot for Hollywood celebrities this summer.
Earlier this week, Elizabeth Banks took in the beautiful (and cloudy) sights of the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, uploading a video and a picture of her journey to the west coast on her Instagram page.
Posting a selfie with her husband Max Handelman, the director also captioned her video of the sight with: "It’s like Big Sur but with Irish weather."
Over the weekend, Elizabeth Banks was on the other side of the country at Bullock Harbour in Dublin. She joked that it was only her second time ever wearing shorts while in Ireland (us too, Lizzy, us too).
Banks is staying in Ireland for the time being while beginning her latest movie project. Called 'Cocaine Bear', the movie revolves around the mad - yet true - storyline of a wild bear that died after ingesting 70 pounds of cocaine after it fell out of an airplane. Banks will direct the movie, and it boasts an incredible cast of Keri Russell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alden Ehrenreich, O’Shea Jackson, and Ray Liotta. Production will begin in August.
Not to be outdone in the Hollywood actor tour of Ireland this week, Patrick Dempsey of 'Disenchanted' - which is currently filming in Wicklow - climbed the Sugarloaf. Unlike Elizabeth Banks and her excursion to the Cliffs of Moher, the 'Grey's Anatomy' star has been keeping it to the east coast of Ireland during his stay here. According to his Instagram page, he's also travelled to Bray and Killiney, and most recently paid a visit to the Oscar Wilde statue in Merrion Square.
Disney's 'Enchanted' sequel is titled 'Disenchanted' and also stars Amy Adams, Maya Rudolph, James Marsden and Idina Menzel.
Oh, to spot one of them while out on a walk...
