'Tis the season for reunions and Christmas movies so this latest just makes sense.
The cast of 'Elf' is reuniting this weekend for a table read that will be streamed live.
The event aims to raise funds to support Georgia Democrats in the upcoming Senate runoffs.
Cast members Will Ferrell, Zooey Deschanel, Bob Newhart, Edward Asner, Mary Steenburgen, Amy Sedaris, Andy Richter, Kyle Gass, Matt Walsh and Jon Favreau will all be there.
They're joined by John Lithgow, Danny Woodburn, Ed Helms, and Busy Phillips.
A few original cast members missing from the line-up include James Caan, Daniel Tay and Peter Dinklage. Still, they got most of the gang back for it!
Released in 2003, 'Elf' made $222.9 million against a $33 million budget and is a Christmas classic in many households.
It tells the story of Buddy (Ferrell), a man raised by elves in the North Pole, who goes to New York in search of his biological father, and saves Christmas.
The table read event takes place on Sunday, December 13th at 4 p.m. ET (9 p.m. for us) to support Georgia Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in the upcoming Senate runoffs. The runoffs will determine whether Democrats or Republicans will control the US Senate.
Ashley Nicole Black will host.
