Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will continue his current trend of kicking ass on screen, with the news that he is to star in the action/thriller Snitch, reports Variety.
Johnson will play the part of "a working class hero who risks everything to save his falsely imprisoned son". Stuntman turned director Ric Roman Waugh will direct the film from his own rewritten script.
It's great to see the charismatic former wrestler back in the type of films he was made for. The fun Faster is released this week, while he'll then be seen in Fast and Furious 5 on April 22nd. We'll have an interview with him, and the rest of the cast of the film around then.
