Dwayne Johnson is in talks to play the Greek mythological hero Hercules, reports Darkhorizons.com (via The New York Daily News).
This version will be an adaptation of Steve Moore's comic Hercules: The Thracian Wars, and focuses on the hero years after he has completed his 12 tasks and decided to turn his back on god. You really couldn’t get much more perfect in terms of casting, as Johnson is now not only a bankable A-list star, but the proprietor of the physicality that will properly embody the part. He's also a charismatic swine.
Brett Ratner is set to direct the film, coming off of (easily) his best flick to date, Tower Heist.
