In case you're moaning that we're clickbaiting this, we actually didn't put the figure in the headline because some people get really weird about running times and spoilers.
So, if you've clicked through that means you want to know what the running length is - it's 107 minutes. Let's just take a minute here and do a little bit of math on this. That's one hour and forty-seven minutes. Thirteen minutes shy of two hours.
When was the last time you saw a blockbuster that clocked in and around ninety minutes? In fact, why aren't ninety-minute films a thing anymore? That's a question for a feature that we'll probably do at some point, but for now, let's look at some other running lengths in films out this summer.
Transformers: The Last Knight has a running time of two hours and twenty-nine minutes. Logan was two hours and seventeen minutes. Wonder Woman was two hours and twenty-one minutes. Seeing a pattern here? Christopher Nolan, meanwhile, is going in the opposite direction because f*ck you, he's Christopher Nolan, that's why.
If it wasn't already possible, we're actually more hyped to see how he can pull off a World War II epic in that length of time.
Dunkirk hits Irish cinemas on July 21st.
