Cinema chain Odeon are to open up their first Cineplex in Dublin's dockland area.
The cinema will be a part of The Point Village plan, and will be a 12 screen theatre with an IMAX screen - the first one in Ireland in well over a decade. Owner Harry Crosbie told The Irish Times, "The cinema complex is expected to include a shopping centre with Dunnes Stores as its anchor tenant," and added that it will staff 75 people. Delighted there's another cinema opening in Dublin after The Lighthouse just reopened their doors through the fine folk at Element Pictures. Not so delighted it's a few months after I moved out of the IFSC...
The cinema is scheduled to open in March.
