It may not have even opened yet, but it's bound to be a massive success, right? Hearsay and positive thoughts isn't enough to go on, so there's a more scientific way to project how well a movie will do.

THR reports : "Deadpool is tracking to open to at least $65 million over the upcoming four-day holiday weekend, with some estimates pointing north of $70 million," and Fox is banking on that.

An insider have confirmed to the publication that the sequel has been green lit. In fact, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are already penning the follow-up.

The article states: "Tim Miller directed Deadpool and although is he has not signed on to helm the sequel, Fox is intent on keeping the creative team together. Reese, Wernick and Miller, as well as star Ryan Reynolds, have fought an uphill battle within the studio system to get the movie made, forging themselves into a compact unit."

While there's been no rumblings re plot lines for the sequel, we're guaranteed more innovative and mischievous marketing and hopefully a more in depth gander at X-Force.
