Solo by name, Solo (mostly) by nature but possibly not Solo by birth, according to Bob Iger.
The Disney CEO was speaking at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business on many topics but at one point zeroed in on Star Wars and the upcoming films in the franchise, the 2018 Han Solo prequel in particular.
Iger revealed that the film, "picks up with Han Solo when he was 18 years old and takes him through when he was 24. There are a few significant things that happen in Han Solo’s life, like acquiring a certain vehicle and meeting a certain Wookiee that will happen in this film. But you will also discover how he got his name."
Iger also revealed that he has seen 'The Last Jedi' and it's "quite good" (you would hope for stronger words from the head of Disney...). According to Iger, it will pick up where 'The Force Awakens' left off and that Carrie Fisher's performance in 'The Last Jedi' will not be changed or altered digitally in any way.
Iger also announced that Disney are currently sitting down and starting to plan what will happen in the Star Wars universe after Episode IX and that they intend to continue making new entries in the franchise for "the next decade and a half". So don't expect Star Wars to fade to black any time soon.
