Irish director Gary McKendry's Jason Statham/Clive Owen action film has just got even more interesting with the news that none other than Robert De Niro will join the cast, reports Moviehole.
Statham will play a former Navy Seal, and the leader of a group of elite assassins who is blackmailed into hunting Owen's SAS team. De Niro will reportedly play Statham's mentor, a character named Hunter. The size of the part is unclear, but it's obviously a significant one given the casting.
The film has already started shooting in Australia and sounds like an absolute blast. Looking forward to seeing it.
