I'll always have a soft spot for David Duchovny. He filled my childhood with dry quips and general glee as Fox Mulder in The X-Files, so I'm glad he's still around. Apart from headlining Californication, he's also just signed on for another movie role.
According to Collider.com, Duchovny will replace Andy Garcia as the leader of a Soviet Special Forces team who is forced to head up a mission cloaked in secrecy in a thriller called Phantom. Also in the independent film are Ed Harris, William Fichtner, and (his Californication co-star) Natascha McElhone.
Easily the best thing about last year's Demi Moore co-starring comedy/drama The Joneses, the actor should really be where George Clooney is now career wise, but things never clicked at the right points. He'll next be seen in Goats, opposite Modern Family star Ty Burrell.
