The green wave hitting Hollywood shows no signs of letting up, as another up-and-coming Irish actor has landed a part in a huge film.

Daryl McCormack - who was previously nominated for the BAFTA Leading Actor award for his role in 2022's 'Good Luck to You, Leo Grande' opposite Emma Thompson - has been announced amongst the star-studded cast of the third 'Knives Out' film.

Dublin native McCormack also previously had roles in the likes of 'Peaky Blinders' and 'Bad Sisters', and will join the likes of Daniel Craig, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Josh O'Connor, Cailey Spaeny and Kerry Washington in the film.

Happily, he'll have familiar company on the set as Andrew Scott has also been named amongst the cast in Rian Johnson's forthcoming third installment in the series.

It's called 'Wake Up Dead Man' and is the follow-up to 2022's 'Glass Onion'.

According to Netflix, the plotline is as follows: "That’s right, Daniel Craig is back as the suave Southern investigator in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, a new installment of the whodunnit franchise written and directed by Rian Johnson. Blanc will be unraveling a brand new murder mystery in an as-yet-undisclosed setting, surrounded by a new colorful cast of suspects."

There's no precise release date as yet, but it will be released on Netflix on 2025.
