The Darklight Festival 2009 is now in full swing, with some really interesting things going on, mostly out of the stunning Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield. My personal highlight would be that of Mark Romanek making an appearance, and conducting a public workshop on Saturday. Romanek is arguably the best music video director of all time, having shot promos for everyone from Johnny Cash, to Jay-Z and Michael Jackson. He also directed the underrated thriller One Hour Photo, and is currently in post production on Keira Knightley starrer, Never Let me Go.
