Tom Cruise is in negotiations to star in a fourth Mission Impossible film, despite falling out with funding studio Paramount last year. There had been rumours that Paramount were hastily pursuing Brad Pitt to take over the still profitable franchise, but Cruise will likely return for a fourth film of the action series. This is good news for the Top Gun star, who always had Ethan Hunt to fall back on when taking risky roles like Collateral, that up until recently, were paying off at the box-office. No word on a possible plot or director yet, but JJ Abrams returning to helm is a possibility, as is the likes of Doug Liman. The third one was the most entertaining yet, so it’d be nice if Cruise got to properly book-end the franchise. Something tells me he’s tamed his generous bank-end deal though...
