Russell Crowe is to take a break from fighting around the world to star in the new film from Crash writer/director, Paul Haggis. Crowe will headline The Next Three Days, a remake of the film Pour Elle. According to Variety, Crowe will play a man crusading to have his wife freed, after she was thrown in the slammer for a crime she didn't commit. Haggis spewed to Variety: "The deeper theme here is, would you save the woman you loved if you knew that by doing so, you would turn into a man that woman could no longer love?" Typically deep stuff from the In The Valley of Elah director; I really enjoyed that film... until the very last scene.
