Will Russell, the man who founded Lebowski Fest, was arrested this past weekend at Executive Strike & Spare in Kentucky for doing a J and resisting arrest, amongst other things.
Russell was allegedly smoking marijuana in the parking lot, and when he was approached by police, he "took a challenging stance with clenched fists, leading them to believe he may be capable of causing physical injury". According to The Courier-Journal, he was arrested "on charges of possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, and menacing", proving that he no longer dabbles with pacifism himself Dude.
We're not sure if the resisting arrest part took the form of him claiming that he wasn't the guy they were looking for, but we certainly hope so.
He was taken to the police station, but later posted on his Facebook page "Don't worry. Be happy for me" after he was released, and also claims that the officers used excessive force during the arrest.
