From Billericay to Beverly Hills, James Corden's certainly done well for himself over the past few years, and now it's being reported that he's wining, dining and discussing possible future film projects with none other than our old pal Tom Cruise.
As per The Sun, Corden is said to have met with Tom, Jeremy Renner, Man of Steel's Michael Shannon and Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke this week. "James is making huge strides in Hollywood", a unnamed source told the newspaper. "Brits are the flavour of the month too, so he's timed his foray into films perfectly. It's hard to believe he'd turn down the chance to star in Mission: Impossible 5. But he's got some other big films in the pipeline, so it won't be a straightforward choice."
So now they're putting Mission: Impossible 5 on the table eh? We think that source might want to hold on to their horses. Sure isn't James all booked up playing Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts in biopic One Chance? And then there's talk of him playing the baker in the big screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods. For the record, we think he'd make a hilarious co-pilot if they ever get a Top Gun sequel off the ground...
Regardless of the outcome, Smithy's done good. He is a Tony Award-winning actor after all.
