You don’t have too long to wait for this one.
The movie, which will be released on February 9th, tells the story of three real-life heroes who thwarted a terrorist attack on a train from Amsterdam to Paris in 2015.
Lifelong friends Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos and Spencer Stone subdued the attacker after he emerged from the train toilet carrying firearms and shooting a fellow passenger.
The movie will cover their friendship from childhood until the attack and in an interesting move, Eastwood has cast the three men to play themselves, with actors playing them as children. Jenna Fischer, Judy Greer and Ray Corasani will round out the cast.
The release date would seem to suggest that the movie won’t figure in this year’s awards race, although this hasn’t been confirmed. In 2014 Eastwood’s American Sniper had a limited release in December, prior to its nationwide rollout. It went on to receive 6 Oscar nominations.
