As we near the release date for Justice League, we're starting to see little slivers of information creep out of the set.
We already know that a large portion of the film has been filmed and that post-production is already underway. We also know that an official trailer isn't too far off, with some even believing that it'll be attached to Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
We do, however, have something confirmed and official - our own Ciaran Hinds will be playing the villain of Justice League.
The report by TheWrap.com confirms that Hinds will play Steppenwolf, who was seen briefly in a deleted scene in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the comics, Steppenwolf was an interdimensional being who possesses incredible strength and looks sort of like a horned thingy.
Here he is in Dawn of Justice, anyway.
In fairness to Zack Snyder, the guy knows how to cast.
Already, JK Simmons has been confirmed to play Commissioner Gordon and Jeremy Irons was quite good as Alfred. Not only that, Ben Affleck's take on Batman / Bruce Wayne was an interesting one and, for all the complaints about her character having nothing to do, Amy Adams was a big get because she's basically this generation's Meryl Streep.
According to reports, Steppenwolf will be portrayed in full CGI, but it's not known if performance capture will be used for Hinds.
Justice League is scheduled for a November 17th, 2017 release.
