Yesterday we brought you the news that Orlando Bloom was in the running for a starring role in Superman Vs Batman which we were less than enthused about.
Now we're hearing reports that the original (well, he's the original Batman in our heads 'cause he's been the best thus far) Batman, Christian Bale, has been offered a staggering 50 million to reprise his role for the same movie.
Now very recently Bale spoke publicly about his decision to withdraw himself from any Batman related activity, but with a paycheck like this there's a small chance we might yet see him step back into the blackened cowl.
Perhaps Bale is right to finish up where The Dark Knight trilogy ended, is there more for him to explore? Should someone else give it a go? Will any actor going forward ever achieve the same success that Bale has enjoyed with the same character? Our guess is that this would only happen should another franchise take an entirely innovative direction; Bale wore that spandex ssuit like he was doing it a favour and there's few who could do the same.
