After Bad Neighbours - or just Neighbours, as it's known in the US - performed very well at the box office, it wasn't long before a sequel was announced.
Bad Neighbours: Sorority Rising is set for release on May 20th, 2016 in the US and, over the weekend, we had our first casting announcement.
Excited to announce I'll be apart of #Neighbors with @Sethrogen - Buckle up people ...it's the girls' time to take over.. ;)
— Chloë Grace Moretz (@ChloeGMoretz) July 23, 2015
Moretz has done comedy before on TV's 30 Rock so she's in reasonably familiar territory, however she's also got our own Gerard Barrett's first US film, Brain On Fire, in the works as well.
Rose Byrne, Seth Rogen and Zac Efron have yet to officially confirm their return, however Rogen and longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg and original director Nick Stoller helping out with the writing duties.
Stoller will also be returning as director and it's expected Dave Franco will feature in there as well.
So what's it about all about? Well, it's in the title. We're guessing it has something to do with sororities and Moretz leading one of them.
Provided they keep the R-rated element, we should be fine. Rogen and Goldberg are pretty solid writers, so we can't see them returning unless they had something worth writing about.
Not only that, it'll be interesting to see Moretz go full comedy in this as she was fantastic on 30 Rock.
