If 'Mad Max: Fury Road' left you chomping at the bit for more Imperator Furiosa, you weren't the only one.
In a recent interview with Variety, Charlize Theron revealed that while she hopes 'Atomic Blonde' starts a franchise á la 'Bourne', she's also very ready to get back in the Furiosa seat with George Miller and that there's a script written and waiting to go.
The only problem? Miller.
Speaking to Variety, Theron said:
"I’d love to. There were three scripts. They were written as backstories to Max’s character and to Furiosa’s character. But at the end of the day, this thing lives and breathes with [director] George [Miller]. I think Warner Bros. knows that. We are all waiting for him to show us the way."
Considering how long it took Miller to get 'Fury Road' onto our screens after the previous 'Mad Max', and seeing as he's said he wants the next movie he makes to be "a very small film without any special effects and not many stunts", we wouldn't hold our breath.
