Tony Burton may not be a name that's instantly familiar to audiences, but the films in which he played a role certainly are.
The most obvious one would be the Rocky series, where Burton played Tony 'Duke' Evers. Originally Apollo Creed's trainer, the character joined Balboa's corner and turned up in 2006's Rocky Balboa, delivering that famous "Hurtin' Bombs!" quote that everyone knows.
@E_Woodyard @TheSlyStallone Sad news. RIP Tony Burton. His intensity and talent helped make the Rocky movies successful. #BePeace

It wasn't all just Rocky either. Tony Burton also had a major role in John Carpenter's 1976 cult classic Assault On Precinct 13 and the Gene Wilder / Richard Pryor comedy Stir Crazy. Burton passed away late last night and reportedly been in ill health for some time.
