As the entertainment world reels from the passing of Chadwick Boseman from cancer at the age of 43, a number of interviews and videos he took part in have been doing the rounds.
This video, from SiriusXM, however is special for another reason. The video was made during the press tour for 'Black Panther' and saw Boseman discuss how important the movie was to a group of terminally-ill children he'd met, and how Boseman was initially sceptical about the movie's impact on them.
As Boseman tells it, he was trading letters with the two children - Ian and Taylor - knowing that they were both terminally ill from cancer. From both their parents, Boseman learned that the two children were trying to hold on until the movie came.
Of course, as we know now, Boseman was himself undergoing treatment for cancer and was carrying that burden in private while he made his way through press tours, filming and beyond. As you'll see in the video, Boseman does become emotional and while at the time it may have seemed like he was simply taken by them, the truth now revealed is that he had more in common with them than we know.
Take a look.
